Classic Dinner Rolls Recipe

Well these are the new fam fav in our house! We are a huge bread family anyway, but awesome rolls? Duh they go quick! I've made several batches now and they go as quickly as I can get them out of the oven. I got the recipe from "Bread World", and they have a ton more that I will be trying  :) I cheated though and instead of hand kneading the dough, I poured everything into my bread machine, set it for dough and let it do all the work, well most of it :) It mixed and kneaded the dough and then I stopped it after about 15mins and let the dough rest, then made the balls :)

2 to 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 tsp dry active yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter OR margarine

Directions
COMBINE 3/4 cup flour, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (120º to 130ºF). Add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, (or into a bread machine) scraping bowl occasionally. Add 1/4 cup flour; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. (Or if you use a  bread machine and then gradually add flour until mixture is smooth) Cover; let rest 10 minutes.DIVIDE dough into 12 equal pieces; shape into balls. Place in greased 8-inch round pan. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.
BAKE in preheated 375ºF oven for 20 minutes or until done. Remove from pan; brush with additional melted butter, if desired. Serve warm.

These are AWESOME! We have used them as sandwiches too! Try them out, and I bet your family will be addicted to them, too :)

I am going to definitely make these. We are addicted to bread here too. I have to make this on one of our "bad" meals night.
